Event Description
This workshop is designed to give parents an idea of various strategies they can use during IEP meetings where effective advocacy is important to ensure their child receives a Free, Appropriate, Public Education (FAPE). Participants will gain knowledge and understanding about special education law. The workshop will provide practical tips for ensuring clear communication and collaboration between familes and schools. Each participant will receive a binder designed to help you keep track of all the relevant information regarding your child's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
